How To Wager:

Please realize that you are not betting against the track. The management acts as your agent and collects a
percentage as fixed by Florida State Law. The public makes the odds and pay-off on the winning dogs only, and the management neither gains nor loses, if you win or lose. Your ticket and all other tickets, purchased on the dog that wins, are actually a partnership, betting against the other patrons who have bought tickets on the other dogs in the race. When the results are official and you have a winning ticket, you and all other patrons of the track holding winning tickets, collect posted pay-off at any mutuel window.

Box your favorite dogs!

Pick, at least, 3 or more dogs and if 3 of the dogs finish 1st, 2nd and 3rd, in any order, you are a winner!

Win – The first dog to cross the finish line wins. If you bet to win, you collect a pay-off only if your selection finishes first.

♧  Place – The second dog to cross the finish line places. If you bet to place, you collect a pay-off if your selection finishes either first or second.

Show – The third dog to cross the finish line. If you bet to show, you collect a payoff if your selection finishes either first, second or third.

Daily Double – This popular wager combines the winners of the 1st and 2nd races of the program. You must pick the winner of both races – Tickets must be purchased before the closing of the first race.

Quiniela – The first two dogs to cross the finish line produces the quiniela. In a quiniela bet, you select two dogs. You win if your selections finish first and second in any order.

Perfecta – The first two dogs to cross the finish line in the exact order of finish is the perfecta. In a perfecta bet, you select two dogs. You win if your selections run 1st and 2nd in that exact order.

Trifecta – The first three to cross the finish line produces the trifecta. In a trifecta bet, you select three dogs. You win if your selections finish first second and third in the exact order that you choose.

Superfecta – The first four to cross the finish line produces the superfecta. In a superfecta bet, you select four dogs. You win if your selections finish first, second, third, and fourth in the exact order that you choose.

Boxing – This means that you select any number of dogs (3 or more) in your $1 bet. In a superfecta box, if your selections finish one, two, three or four, in any order, you win. In a trifecta box, if your selections finish one, two, and three in any order, you win. In a perfecta box, if any two selections finish one, two in any order, you win.

Wheeling – This is picking a key dog, which you choose to finish first, second, or third with any other possible combination of dogs. A $1.00 trifecta wheel in an 8 dog race costs $42, with 42 different combinations to produce a winning pay off – all with just one ticket. For example, if you wheel 8 to win, and 8 wins, no matter which dogs finish 2nd or 3rd, you are a winner.
